The Global Forum on Agricultural Research and Innovation (GFAiR) played an active role in the VIII Global Conference on Family Farming, which ran from 19 - 21 March, by moderating the special event titled "Participatory Research and Co-Innovation Processes for Sustainable Food Production and Climate Change Adaptation."
The meeting brought together representatives from prominent organizations including CGIAR, the European Commission, PIFON, CIRAD, and APAARI, fostering a rich dialogue on participatory research aimed at advancing family farming. Further, the event marked the endorsement of the Partnership Principles by CGIAR and farmers' organizations, symbolizing a collaborative commitment to supporting family farming initiatives.
During the event, essential components for successful participatory research in family farming were highlightedated, accompanied by tangible examples showcasing co-innovations for sustainable food production and climate change adaptation. Notably, the GFAiR Collective Actions were spotlighted for contributions in this domain.
